The Downtown Business Association is a volunteer organization made up of representatives from downtown businesses. The mission of the DBA is to unite downtown business, promoting one another's businesses and Downtown Mount Airy as a whole.
Downtown business members donate annually to help support the marketing efforts and events hosted by the DBA. Downtown merchants are encouraged to give $100 as an advertisement sponsor which helps to pay for parade insurance as well as Downtown brochures and maps . The DBA partners with Mount Airy Downtown, Inc. and other community organizations to promote the small businesses within the downtown district.
Events hosted by the DBA include: Downtown Fashion Shows, Artwalks, Sidewalk Sales, Mayberry Farm Fest & Tractor Parade, The Mayberry Cool Cars & Rods Cruise-In Series, Independence Day Parade and Festivities, Comic-Con, Downtown Trick-or-Treat & Halloween Celebration, Ladies Night Out, The Christmas Parade, and the Holiday Open House.
